NEW ORLEANS—Basketball Organizer PlanBC3, LLC ran the 2011 Hoops for Hope Classic Basketball Tournament supporting the National Urea Cycle Disorders Foundation www.NUCDF.org in New Orleans, Louisiana on November 25-27, 2011. Leading universities making up the field in this outstanding event were Alcorn State University, Tulane University, University of New Orleans and the University of San Diego.

Friday’s games on November 25th, were played on the campus of Tulane University - Fogelman Arena. In the initial first game of the tournament event, the University of San Diego Toreros defeated the University of New Orleans Privateers 64-56. In the nightcap game, host Tulane University defeated Alcorn State University 83-41.

On day two of the tournament on Saturday, November 26^th at Fogelman Arena, the University of San Diego Toreros hit a game-winning shot with 25 seconds left in the game to defeat Alcorn State University 66-65. In game two of the day, in the battle of teams from New Orleans, Tulane University  defeated the University of New Orleans 72-53.

Day three, November 27^th began with the University of New Orleans defeating Alcorn State University at Lakefront Arena 63-56. The championship game of the 2011 Hoops for Hope Classic Basketball Tournament in New Orleans was played between Tulane University and the University of San Diego at the New Orleans Arena, home of the National Basketball Association’s New Orleans Hornets. In true champion form, Tulane University celebrated the championship of the 2011 Hoops for Hope Classic Basketball Tournament in New Orleans by defeating the University of San Diego 65-46.

Final standings for this great tournament were as follows:

Tulane University – Champions

University of San Diego – 2^nd place

University of New Orleans – 3^rd place

Alcorn State University – 4^th place

The 2011 Hoops for Hope Classic Basketball Tournament in New Orleans All-Tournament Team was selected by members of the media and Plan BC3 and was awarded to:
